A pear martini, when done right, is an exquisite thing—subtle, crisp, and truly unforgettable. This Pear and Sage Martini Recipe combines pear vodka, fresh lemon, and sage-infused simple syrup to create the most deliciously chic version of this cocktail.
There is just something that feels far more polished about sipping pear martinis over other commonly found fruity drinks. Perhaps it’s the word Poire, the French word for pear⏤pronounced “pwahr.” Or maybe it’s the smooth cleanness of the pear vodka, in this case, Grey Goose La Poire, made with French Anjou pears.
The fresh sage adds a beautiful botanical complement to the floral and fruity nose of the pear vodka. Combined with a splash of lemon, this martini shakes up to be a seriously chic addition to your cocktail repertoire.
Serve this stylish Pear and Sage Martini with a soft Camembert, fresh figs, shaved prosciutto, or toasted nuts. “Tchin tchin!”

How to Make a Pear and Sage Martini

Step 1. Prepare the Sage Simple Syrup: In a small sauce pot, bring water and sugar to a boil over medium-high heat, stirring occasionally. Once the syrup has come to a boil, remove it from the heat and add the fresh chopped sage. Let it sit for 10-15 minutes. Strain the syrup into a glass jar and set aside for use.

Step 2. Prepare Pear and Sage Martini: In a cocktail shaker, combine the pear vodka, sage simple syrup, fresh lemon juice, fresh sage, and a couple of large handfuls of ice. Shake vigorously, about 10 – 15 shakes. Strain into a chilled martini glass, and garnish with a thin slice of pear and a sage leaf.
