Ivory Table FAQs
Planning an event comes with questions—we’re here to make the process clear and seamless. Below, you’ll find answers to our most frequently asked questions, from booking and menu customization to staffing and final event details.
How far in advance should I book my catering?
We recommend booking as early as possible, especially for peak seasons (May–October and holidays). Most of our clients reserve 3–12 months in advance, though we occasionally accommodate shorter timelines based on availability.
Securing Event Date: How do I know when my event is officially booked?
Your date is officially reserved once your contract is signed and your deposit is received. Until then, dates remain open and may be booked by another client.
Do you have a sales minimum?
Yes. Our catering services begin at a minimum of $1,500 for drop-off orders and $4,000 for full-service events.
Can you customize the menu?
Absolutely. Custom menus are our specialty. We work closely with you to create a menu that reflects your vision, your guests, and the overall tone of your event.
Do you accommodate dietary restrictions?
Yes. We regularly accommodate vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, and allergy-sensitive menus.
Do you offer private tastings?
We offer seasonal tasting events in the spring and fall for confirmed clients. Due to the nature of our production schedule, we are not able to offer private tastings. These events are thoughtfully designed to give you a true sense of our menus and presentation while allowing us to maintain the level of quality we’re known for.
Do you provide bar service?
Yes, we offer full bar service (beer, wine, and spirits) and can assist with menu planning, staffing, and coordination. Alcohol service must comply with Washington state regulations, and we’ll guide you through that process.
Do you provide rentals (plates, linens, etc.)?
We can coordinate rentals for you, making the process seamless and cohesive with your overall design.
What is your pricing structure?
Pricing depends on your menu, guest count, service style, and event logistics. We provide custom proposals, so you receive a clear, tailored estimate based on your specific event.
What is required for a deposit?
A 50% deposit is required to secure your date. The remaining balance is due 7 days prior to your event, with details outlined in your event contract.
Are there additional fees?
Depending on your event, an additional service fee may apply. This fee covers travel, site visits, walk-throughs, and extended client consultation time, custom menu design and revisions, rental coordination, estimates, and adjustments, permits, licenses, and other administrative requirements, or specialty items. Everything is clearly outlined upfront—no surprises.
Do you provide staff for the event?
Yes. We offer professional service staff, including servers, bartenders, and event leads, to ensure your event runs seamlessly.
Do you handle setup and cleanup?
We take care of all food-related setup and cleanup so you can focus on hosting and enjoying your event.
What types of events do you cater?
We cater weddings, corporate events, private parties, and intimate gatherings. Whether it’s a formal plated dinner or a relaxed cocktail-style event, we design the experience accordingly.
Do you travel for events?
Yes. We regularly serve events throughout Spokane and Coeur d’Alene and are available for travel up to 1 hour away from our Spokane-based location.
When do we finalize the details?
Final guest count and details are typically confirmed 2 weeks prior to your event. This ensures accuracy and a smooth execution.
What happens if my guest count changes?
We understand that guest counts can evolve. You’re welcome to increase your final count as your event approaches, and we will do our best to accommodate. However, due to advanced purchasing and preparation, we are unable to reduce your guest count below the number outlined in your food and beverage contract.
